About Me
I have been a PA since 1975, graduating from Western Michigan University's PA Program. My primary practice has been in Family Medicine. I also spent 13 years working in Urgent Care, and 22 years in the National Guard as a PA. My passion the past 10 years has been serving the underserved in the third world. I've been to Northeast India twice, Haiti twice, and Kenya and Tanzania; each time establishing short term medical clinics and teams to treat patients. |

About Me
I am currently working in Interventional Pain Management. I have worked 10 years doing family medicine and 3 years in Neuro surgery. Before that, I worked as an RN in a large CCU unit for 15 years. I am from central Minnesota. I have been involved doing medical trips to Central America, Honduras and Guatamala for over 10 years. My biggest interest at present is doing what can be done to initiate a PA program in Brazil. This huge country has so many areas where the PA profession could make a big difference. So far my conversations with Brazilian MDs have been discouraging. I am wondering if there is someone out there who is either a member on non member who has either previous experience in this area or has contact information with the Brazilian Government health department? Please e-mail me if you can help or if you want more information. leecheater73@yahoo.com
Thanks,

About Me
I'm a third year PA/MPH student at GWU just starting my rotations - I will graduate in August of 2010. I just finished my MPH in May in Community Oriented Primary Care and am interested in working with underserved populations both here and abroad - and excited to now be linked to so many PAs who share that same interest! Currently I'm working with 2 groups of homeless men in the city, providing a foot clinic and health education discussion groups with other GWU students. A missions trip to Kenya before I entered the program is my only experience with underserved populations abroad, but I'm excited for opportunities to serve as a PA after graduation. |
